"In no war event was there damage to the extent that even approached a fifth of this damage," with these words, Israeli media expressed the extent of the damage inflicted upon the Gaza envelope settlements that were infiltrated by al-Qassam Brigade Resistance fighters on the first day of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
According to the assessment of "Israel's" Ministry of Finance, the material damages accumulated to 3 billion Shekels after "20 settlements were destroyed, the largest of which were also burned to the ground," including "The houses, infrastructure, roads, dairy farms, and agricultural areas."
The successful operation destroyed illegal settlements occupied by Israeli settlers in the Gaza envelope, and the Israeli occupation authorities announced that "In no war event was there damage to the extent that even approached a fifth of this damage. Moreover, the Occupation authorities stressed that parallel to the direct material damage, which included the loss of "agricultural plots in which crops cannot be renewed for a long period of time," there were indirect Israeli losses. This is considered a step closer to liberation for Palestinians and Arabs, stressing "the loss of income in agriculture and tourism for a long period of time."
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood will go down in history for multiple reasons, amongst which are intelligence and military superiority on the ground for the Palestinian Resistance in the face of the Israeli Occupation Forces and the amount of destruction inflicted upon Israeli settlements and settlers alike.
The number of dead Israelis, as a result of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, has increased to around 1,200, and those injured have exceeded 2,900, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said in a post on X on Wednesday.
The Israeli Ynet news website said that the number of Israeli deaths since the operation was launched on Saturday exceeds 1,200, adding that more than 200 Israelis were held captive by the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip.
The families of those held captive have warned Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog, saying that if their sons and daughters do not return from Gaza, they "will shake Israel to its core if necessary," emphasizing that they "will not accept leaving them in Gaza."
Israeli media outlets reported on the growing anger and frustration among settlers in the Gaza envelope settlements and the families of Israeli captives.
Settlers of the Gaza Envelope are pleading for help while trying to take shelter in their settlement apartments amid the ongoing barrages of rockets launched by the Resistance in Gaza and continuing infiltration operations.
